The Magic of Opening Your Heart

For years and years, I felt like a robot. There was no tear on my face, my heart was made of stone, my body was numb, and my feelings were gone. All of this because I was locked inside myself, but I knew there was a little tunnel, a lost hope down there but I had no idea this tunnel was the path that drove me right to the freedom and joy I was born to experience.

Different partners had come into my life, and I didn’t know how to love them completely. I didn’t know how to really love my family or appreciate the people that were by my side, and not even my life circumstances. I wasn’t really experiencing life…I was just existing, not living at all. Never felt like a whole, rather like a hole. This may sound like a sadic story, but you know what they say: “You have to go through hell to reach heaven”. It took me a couple of years, shallow relationships, and some breakups to realize that I have to change who I was.

That was the beginning of me experiencing a different reality! I found out that love vibrates at a higher frequency, and does not come with pain, it comes with lots of joy and happiness. Breaking your heart is beneficial because that’s how your heart will open fully, by breaking its walls and barriers, letting it naked and wide open to receive new possibilities and truly feel like living. Since it happened, I never felt the same. I started smiling more, having fewer worries, and gliding through new adventures without doubting myself.

Opening your heart means loving yourself and accepting who you really are in this moment and also accepting people as they are and loving them unconditionally. By doing this, you will start to see and feel life through different lenses, not those of your horrible past, but those of your wonderful future.

“The most important aspect of love is not in giving or the receiving: it’s in the being. When I need love from others or need to give love to others, I’m caught in an unstable situation. Being in love, rather than giving or taking love, is the only thing that provides stability. Being in love means seeing the Beloved all around me.”

You don’t have to break your heart into millions of pieces or experience a huge amount of suffering in order to feel the joy of living and attract true love into your life. With the help of Dr. Joe Dispenza and his life-changing book “Supernatural” I discovered a meditation technique and I will guide you step by step so we can work it out.

The Heart Meditation — 5 easy steps for opening your heart!

  • Step 1: Find a comfortable position, you may sit cross-legged or with your feet on the ground (I truly recommend doing this barefoot outside if you can).
  • Step 2: Get a pair of headphones (stay away from wireless ones) or plug in your audio system and play one or two songs that make you feel like you’re at ease…like you can fly, songs that give you goosebumps .
  • Step 3: Close your eyes and start to breathe slowly and deeply (through your nose if you can) into your chest, not your belly. Feel the air coming in and out and your heart expanding.
  • Step 4: Now it's the time to be both brave and gentle with yourself. Continue on breathing until your heart is beating like a drum, don’t be afraid if you feel uncomfortable at first or if you have a short headache, it’s completely normal.
  • Step 5: Continue to breathe until the song is over (you can also play it on repeat), your heart will feel more coherent and your brain will have more power and your whole body will be more energetic right after or sometime later.
  • Step 6 (bonus): If it helps, you can use your imagination to create powerful scenes that make you love your life more even if they don’t feel like they’re part of your reality right now (I sometimes imagine wonderful moments with me and my girlfriend or me and my family, other times I’m driving a Ferrari, it really depends on the song). DON’T BE AFRAID TO EXPERIMENT WITH YOUR IMAGINATION!

Some words of kindness from the author

You may be hurt right now, I know and I pray for your healing, but, if you try to open your heart everything will fall into place much faster: your suffering will transform into wisdom, your sadness into joy, and your hate into love. Your life will feel at least ten times better than was yesterday and by doing the meditation, with time, you’ll see that you live more joyfully and blissfully every day. Besides that, you’ll attract maybe better people into your life! Have fun in your journey of discovering what’s good for you and works for you! All I can say now is that I love you from the bottom of my heart and wish you a wonderful day, or night, depending on the time you read this. You were made to pass the obstacles that come your way, no doubt about it. Stay strong!

Thank you so much for taking the time to read this article. It doesn’t take me a lot of time to write an article like this, but at least I have fun doing it. It’s not much, but it’s honest work!
